Counselling & Psychotherapy
Hi, I'm Catherine

I believe that healthy relationships are one of the most important aspects of our lives, and by improving the quality of our relationships we can improve the quality of our lives.
I have a degree in Psychology, and a vast amount of experience working with people with a wide range of mental health issues. I qualified as a Mental Health Nurse in 1992 and have worked in many different settings in both the NHS and private/independent sectors.
I have also trained in both counselling and psychotherapy - two years in Transactional Analysis Counselling, and two years in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy.
One of the strengths of Transactional Analysis is that it provides us with ways of looking at how we relate to each other, which enables us to decrease conflict and improve relationships.
Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy draws on different approaches so that the therapy is individually tailored to you, and is focussed on helping you achieve your full potential.
I offer therapy in a confidential, non-judgemental and supportive environment where you can explore the challenges in your life and find ways to overcome these. Depending on your needs the therapy can be short term or longer term, and either in person (in Harrogate, North Yorkshire ) or online via Zoom.
My therapy sessions are Monday to Friday during the day and early evenings.
Therapy can help you change your life for the better.
We can work together, at your own pace to explore how you can deal with the issues you are facing in a different way and help you to understand what is happening, why it is happening and the changes that can be made.
I adhere to the Codes of Ethics and good practice as laid down by the regulatory bodies UKATA, BACP and EATA.
